We had, what I would categorize as, a very fun weekend! Saturday, 10/27, Cody had his 2nd to last soccer game of the season. They lost but the team was quite challenging.

That face looks very tired but look at that dimple. Later that day, Grandma Lori took Cody to lunch at TGIF. From what I hear on both sides, they had a great time! They then proceeded to go to the movies but the movie Cody wanted to see doesn't come out till this coming weekend :( A trip to Toys R Us was next. They had a fun filled 4 hours! That night, Rusty went to work and Cody and I went to my dear friend Heather's. She was having a Halloween 'party' for her 11 year old. He had some friends over and she invited us. We had a great time. They put up a screen to play a movie from the projector. It was pretty cool. The kids all seemed to get along. There were A LOT of sweets involved in this night too. ***Sunday, Rusty, Cody and I went to Costco for 2 items and left with many more than that. But in the process, Cody came up with some words of his own. The one I remember is 'visions'. He said people with glasses lost their visions. LOL It was then I decided that I'm going to blog words that Cody comes up with. ***And now it's Monday again and I'm being super lazy. I guess it's ok since I worked my butt off today at work. In 15 minutes, I will be even more lazy, if that's possible, and watch the shows on CBS. I love Mondays on CBS!!! Last weekend was pretty great and actually productive! I had dinner with Gabe. He's doing so wonderful! He now has a green chip which is 90 days sober! I'm so very proud of him and it seems he's so proud of himself. It's really good to see how a very difficult decision came to be something so fantastic. All the worries, nightmares, and fears I had. He's now so happy! There are 12 steps and he's currently working on step 8. Sounds like he will be doing another 6 months at Salvation Army after his next 3 months is up. *** The productive part of this...Rusty and I started organizing the storage we currently have b/c we have a goal to be out of it by November but since that's right around the corner the more realistic goal is before the end of the year! Yep that sounds less stressful to me .*** No soccer stories or pictures this weekend. It was the team's bye week and Cody was with his mom so it was just a lot of husband/wife time. I love our alone time together. This Saturday's game is at 9:00am...all are welcome.***Have a great week all.

Well I'm about 2 weeks behind with my blogging now aren't I? Sorry I've been either tired or busy or both and haven't had a chance to entertain anyone with stories and pictures. We did have the Demmin's over last weekend. I have to give props to those parents. A 5:30am wake up call is rough when it comes to about 1:00pm. They didn't nap and were still so nice and patient with as few hours of sleep!! I have to admit...I had to nap, and Rusty joined me, the afternoon they left. It was really great and always is to have you guys in our home! Come anytime or send the kids! I love my own Jane stores. Here's one I must share because it was so cute. We watched the Demmin kids a while back and I was looking for some ointment to put on Wesley's bottom. I was digging through everything. Jane comes running over and says with her hands on her chest "I can help what are you looking for?" I said something for your brothers rash. She said "Oh the ointment isn't in here" (she was looking in a little bag) "but there's powder we use for the beach in the car!" It's nice to have her help.
